Great video! I’m a few months late on seeing it but hopefully that will help me out here: can you please tell me what river this is? I know you don’t want to “spot burn” but I’m several hours away and don’t get to go to WNC but once or twice per year, so I’d really appreciate it if you could help me out. I don’t need the specific spot but just the name of the river would help me out a lot! Thanks!

You must fish below claytor lake damn, I've caught many muskellunge there, and if you want walleye, go to draper road next to the river or Allisonia across the river to the landing and troll up about mile, then zig zag double jig rig around 12 to 3 in morning, I've caught so many there is stupid, i lived in Allisonia so i knoq all the holes, and when they run, i used to shine thw spotlight in the water, and the whole river bed was moving because of muskies there before, walleye is the fight though

Here is my experience, fishing for largemouth, Pine Squirrel (crayfish Color) Leach, 5 Weight Rod, Catfish explodes on the surface, 30 Inch, 14 LB, My wife netted it. (she got the net around it and I helped drag it to the shore). I relived the fight watching you. Fun Time.

I often fish two flies, that’s how you catch two at once haha. The friend fish usually goes for the second pattern. 😅
